COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint or are concerned
about the treatment you have received from the doctors or any of the staff working
in the practice please let us know. We hope that most problems can be sorted out
easily and quickly, often at the time they arise and with the person concerned.
If your problem cannot be sorted
out in this way and you wish to make a complaint, it should be addressed to the
practice manager.
COMPUTER
The practice is fully computerised
and certain information is held about you on our system. This information is covered
under the Data Protection Act.
Patients’
Responsibilities To The Practice
• Inform us immediately of
any change of name, address or telephone number.
• You are responsible for keeping appointments with us and for giving adequate
notice if you wish to postpone or cancel appointments.
• The surgery is very busy, especially before 10.30am; please keep your
telephone calls brief during this period.
• You can reduce delays by remembering that an appointment is for one patient
only.
Protection And Use
Of Patient Information
Your medical records are held in the strictest confidence. Information is not passed on without your consent, unless such action is within the confines of the NHS or by legal requirement. The practice is computerised and registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. It is a practice and legal requirement that all staff maintain confidentiality of patients’ records.
Freedom Of Information
- Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000
obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is
a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely
make available. This scheme is available from reception. |
